Apple Users: Data Backup - Code42 replacing HFS

Some of you may be aware that IT Services will be replacing the HFS Backup Service with Code42. Code42 is now the recommended application for securing University data on your desktop and laptop, and further information can be found here: https://help.it.ox.ac.uk/hfs-code42-cloud-backup-service.

Gardens & Museums IT have been trialing the software and have found it to be an efficient and simple to use backup solution, and therefore a massive improvement on HFS.

The software is currently only available for use by existing users of the HFS Service - if you are a HFS User please reach out to it@museums.ox.ac.uk and we will provide further steps on the set up. Once the application is widely available for use by all we will be making it available via our Apple Jamf Management System.
